Jerry Schleicher

Jerry's pro-agriculture message combines hilarious tales about farmers, ranchers and animal rights activists with stories about lovesick bulls and barnyard cats, farm wives sent to town for parts, why farmers love 'gimme' caps, and the surprising tale of the first ... and only ... caveman's rodeo.

Jerry performs and emcees at farm shows and banquets, festivals and cowboy gatherings throughout Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Colorado and Arkansas. His performances include the Colorado Farm Show in Greeley, Colorado; the Trails West! festival in St. Joseph, Missouri; the Missouri Cowboy Poets Gathering; the Platte County, Missouri, Extension Council annual banquet; the Texas Crossroads Cowboy Gathering in Van Horn, Texas; the Chadron State College Cowboy Gathering in northwest Nebraska; 'Running of the Bull' festival in Eldorado, Texas; and A Cowboy Christmas Ball in Louisburg, Kansas.

Jerry has published a book of his cowboy and country poetry entitled 'Tales from Chute #1,' and released a CD entitled 'The Missouri Matador.' He writes a country humor column for GRIT and Cappers magazines, writes about the dairy industry for Dairy Farmers of America, and about antique tractors and farm equipment for Farm Collector. He also writes a humor column for Rope Burns, the trade publication for the cowboy entertainment industry.

A member of the Academy of Western Artists and the Missouri Cowboy Poets Association, Jerry was raised on a crop and cattle feeding operation in western Nebraska, and is a graduate of the University of New Mexico. His pro-agriculture message and laugh-out-loud stories provide wholesome entertainment for farm and livestock organizations, farm shows, annual festivals and cowboy music and poetry gatherings.

"Whether the topic is muddy roads, gimme caps, country cafes, dogs, cats, or how to distinguish farmers from ranchers, Jerry has that special knack for making a point while making you laugh." GRIT magazine.
